Our health care workers are putting their own health at risk every day as they care for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. They’re depending on us to do our part to keep ourselves safe and healthy and to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.
There are many simple things each of us can do to minimize the risk of infection and spread of COVID-19. In line with public health guidelines, the CMA recommends frequent handwashing, avoiding touching your face, and daily cleaning of surfaces and high-touch objects. It’s also important to stay home and away from other people during this time. Any unnecessary outings and non-essential travel should be cancelled to prevent exposure to the virus. For more information on recommended steps for prevention, watch and share this video.
We should all be practising proper hygiene and social (physical) distancing to help “flatten the curve” and keep our families and communities safe.
